My Personal Experience: 

As a child, I was fascinated with fashion, experimenting with my wardrobe and helping friends with their outfits. After pursuing a fashion degree, I started my journey as a fashion stylist, and there has been no looking back.

The Hard part I feel about this profession as per my experience till now:

One of the most significant challenges I faced at the beginning of my career was breaking into the industry. Fashion is highly competitive, and winning a lottery to get your foot in the door often feels like winning a lottery. I spent countless hours networking, interning, and assisting established stylists to build connections and gain valuable experience.

Staying relevant and up-to-date with the ever-changing trends is vital as a stylist. The industry has evolved with the rise of social media and online platforms. To remain in demand, I had to adapt to the digital landscape and showcase my work on various platforms. Additionally, the marketing budgets have shifted, affecting the availability of resources for freelance stylists like myself.

Balancing personal life with a fashion stylist’s demanding schedule can be challenging. Late-night fittings, last-minute changes, and tight deadlines can affect personal relationships and well-being. However, my passion for the craft has always helped me overcome these hurdles.

 

Things I find interesting or feel “happy” about this profession are:
