My Personal Experience: 

As a journalist from India, I have had the privilege of covering some of the most important events and issues of our time. From political campaigns to social movements, my job has been to report on the facts and share the stories that matter to our readers.

 

The Hard part I feel about this profession as per my experience till now is: 

One of the hardest parts of being a journalist is dealing with the pressure of deadlines and the need to stay objective and unbiased in your reporting. It can be challenging to remain impartial when covering sensitive or controversial topics, but it is essential to maintain the integrity of the profession.

 

Things one might find interesting or feel “happy” about this profession are: 

As a journalist, I love the fact that every day is different, and there is always something new to learn and discover. I also appreciate the opportunity to shed light on important issues and bring attention to underreported stories that might not otherwise get the attention they deserve.

 

Pros I feel about this profession are :

One of the biggest pros of being a journalist is the ability to make a difference in people’s lives by informing and educating them about important issues. Journalists have the power to hold those in power accountable and to amplify the voices of marginalized communities. Additionally, journalism provides a unique opportunity to meet and connect with people from all walks of life and to learn from their experiences.

 

Cons you feel about this profession are :

One of the biggest cons of being a journalist is the declining trust in media and the rise of fake news and misinformation. Journalists are often under attack, both verbally and physically, and it can be difficult to navigate this environment while still doing your job effectively. Additionally, the media industry is facing significant challenges, including declining revenue and job opportunities.

 

What are your suggestions for those who would like to make a career in this profession?

For those who are interested in pursuing a career in journalism, my advice would be to hone your writing and reporting skills and to develop a deep understanding of the issues and topics you are interested in covering. It’s also essential to be tenacious, persistent, and curious and to always ask questions and seek out the truth. Building a strong network of sources and mentors can also be beneficial, as can developing expertise in a particular field or subject area. Finally, it’s important to stay adaptable and open to new opportunities and to be prepared to navigate the rapidly changing media landscape.
