Q: What are the hardships you have to face till now for establishing Kar Kleaners ?
We are pioneers in professional daily car cleaning. I have taken up the challenge of organising the huge unorganised sector, and hence the challenges that I face are very unique and uncommon. If it was easy, anyone would have done it.
As we are the first runners in the industry. I face regular challenges that have not been encountered by anyone earlier and hence does not have a single rule to success or a pre-tested answer.
Taking decisions to difficult situations can become tricky at times. A lot of these challenges keep me awake at night where I try to find answers to questions, challenges and way forward for the growth of my company and this industry.
Every day is different, You sleep with something in your mind and when you wake up in morning you have a different challenge to tackle. That’s Life!! Expect the unexpected.. Enjoy every minute of it..
Q: What would you like to say about the word ‘Entrepreneurship’?
Entrepreneurship is not for all. It is only for the strong ones. Only for people who refuse not to give up when others can fall apart. You need to be a wolf to be a successful entrepreneur.
Go out and be ready to hunt your dreams. Create a good team and hunt in a pack. Only successful teams create successful businesses.
At times you will be alone just like a #lone wolf, but don’t let that bother you much. It is just a temporary phase and it will pass by. Either you can be a game changer – Entrepreneur or go back to your job tomorrow. You choose what you want to be?
Q: There are a lot of youngsters out there who are willing to follow their dreams.Sometimes when they find they are not going towards their aim they normally become stressed.What are your suggestions for these youngsters?
Rather than the suggestion, I would prefer to call it experience sharing.

A startup can fail, but an entrepreneur cannot.

There is no shortcut to success. It is only hard work, dedication and self-belief that will take you a long way.

There is nothing called as ‘failure’. It is only an experience that will make you successful in future.

Live life your way. Sometimes you just need to trust your own madness when no one else does.

And finally, do take regular breaks in life. It is important to enjoy life while you build your own kingdom. There is no point reaching the destination if you did not enjoy the journey. Enjoy every bit of your entrepreneurship. Only the lucky ones become entrepreneurs, rest get employed by them.
Q: What is the hierarchy of different designations of people working for ‘Kar Kleaners’ ?
We are India’s first Single Designation Company (SDC). All employees including me are designated as ‘#Car Care Takers’. Along with being a single designation company, we are also a ‘#Zero Ego Company’. Both these company values have helped us grow faster as they build the right culture of teamwork and help us operate better.
Q: To turn a vision into a successful ‘product or service’ there are a lot of ‘things which a ‘founder of a venture’ has to take care. According to you what are those particular ‘things’ and how you manage them?
There is no single rule or recipe to create a successful product or service. It is only after repeated experimenting that one learns.
I would put it as ‘Experiment- Learn – Grow – Reinvent- Experiment’. Nobody in this world knows that one secret recipe to create successful product or service. If we knew it, we would have already done it. You will have to figure it out yourself.
As long as your product or service is solving a unique problem of the world, you have a better chance of succeeding. In 2017, the highest reason for startups to shut down was, ‘No market need for Product or Service.’ Develop something that the market needs.
Q: Is funding an important catalyst if anyone is willing to start his or her own venture?
You will need to initially put your own money and test your product/service. To grow fast, once you have done your POC you will need external funding.
Q: What is the current scenario of ‘startup culture’ in India according to you?
India is one of the best places in the world for startup. The young entrepreneurs are lucky to be born in an era of Startup India – Standup India.
The startup ecosystem is booming and will see a stable growth in years to come. While the angle and VC funding have dipped in 2017 as compared to 2015, we need to understand reasons behind it as well.
High growth and higher returns in stock market and bitcoin have played an active role in reduced VC and Angel investor funding in startups. There are many funds and VCs eagerly waiting for invest in path-breaking concepts. The problem is innovative startups are missing.
Q: What are the things that still keeps you motivated daily towards your work?
Demands for our services are very high. We get a request from 1 building every fortnight to start operating in their society, however, the scope of this work is scattered and hence creating a distribution network in terms of the franchise is very important.
Currently, our main focus is on creating franchisee partners who can then deliver our services to final customers. Along with Kar Kleaners expansion to various cities in 2018, we will be coming up with an app soon for our services. We will also be expanding into car care products under our existing brand name. “Kar Kleaners”.
We will also be looking at expanding our business in the car buying and selling segment under the current brand name of Kar Deals in 2018 and much more. Having to do so much more keeps me excited and motivated daily.
